This one’s for the underdogs.

I share the stories of those who have historically been underrepresented in Western society—and who will pave a new way forward.

The American capitalist model is at a turning point, facing the structural and systemic injustices baked in at every level of public life. As the aging, increasingly imperiled patriarchy gives way to the voices of diverse new generations, we see the promise of a more equitable world.

I stand for those who are underrepresented in the broader American media, cultural, and political narratives, sharing my story and the stories of others. “Underrepresented” refers to anyone who is not a cisgendered, heterosexual, white male. The underrepresented includes, but is not limited to, Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC); Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual, and Polyamorous people, plus Non-Binary, Genderqueer, Gender Non-Conforming, Two-Spirit, or “All-Gender” folx (LGBTTQQIAPP+); immigrants and refugees; women; and people with different physical abilities.

While the underrepresented don’t have the same experience, our Venn diagram includes an overlapping area of shared experience. Race, gender, and sexual orientation are artificially constructed categories, designed to divide and oppress, and we can choose to break free of these frameworks.

I explore the experiences of those who were told that being different was a liability, and instead turned it into their greatest strength.
